A 58-year-old woman presents with longstanding history of constipation. She has tried medical management without success. She relates that she has successfully altered bowel texture, but she still strains to pass gas or liquid stool and needs at times to manually disimpact. Colonoscopy was normal. A sitz marker study image and fluoro defecography video are shown below.
